 JET DRIVE saw a need to design a system that was dependable and which would secure any opening, even one with very limited retraction space, and we have accomplished our goal.

For many years, customers in the electronic gate industry have had only a few choices available to them. The gate system they ultimately selected depended upon the dimensions of their access/egress area, as well as their retraction area.

• Swing gates require no retractable room, but do require plenty of clearance for swinging during operation.  The slope of the driveway also plays a major role in the success of this type of gate.  Additionally, some applications require multiple gates and openers.

• Conventional slide gates require no swing room, but frequently require excessive room for retraction.  For example, a 25' gate would need 26.5' of retraction area.

• Vertical pivot gates require neither swing nor slide room, but do require plenty of overhead clearance.
